eTranzact Empowers Lagos Women with Food Relief Initiative

eTranzact International Plc, a leading financial technology company, has been recognized for its commitment to community development through its Food Connect Initiative. This year, the initiative provided essential food relief packs to over 500 underprivileged women in Lagos State.

The distribution event, held at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, aimed to alleviate the economic burdens faced by vulnerable communities, particularly in the wake of global challenges.

Lagos State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Bolaji Dada, praised eTranzact for its efforts in empowering women. She emphasized the need for collective action to address poverty and promote sustainable financial independence.

Niyi Toluwalope, Managing Director of eTranzact, highlighted the company’s dedication to social responsibility. He explained that the Food Connect Initiative aligns with eTranzact’s broader mission to empower individuals through education, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship.

Fatiu Akiolu, Managing Director of the Lagos State Airport Authority (LASAA), also acknowledged the importance of community initiatives. LASAA has been involved in similar efforts, such as distributing school bags to students in seven local government areas to support education and strengthen community ties.

Through initiatives like Food Connect, eTranzact and other organizations are making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable communities in Lagos State.
