The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a motorcycle rider, Kadir Owolabi, after operatives discovered three human skulls in his possession during a stop-and-search operation.
Command spokesperson CSP Omolola Odutola said on Tuesday that the arrest took place at about 2:00 p.m. on Monday along the Ijebu Ode–Ibadan Expressway, at Refugees Camp Junction, Oru Ijebu. She said officers from 71 PMF, Awa Ijebu, searched Owolabi’s luggage and made the grim discovery.
A preliminary investigation led to the arrest of another suspect, 53-year-old Jamiu Yisa, behind the Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat.
Commissioner of Police Lanre Ogunlowo has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department to take over the case for discreet investigations. The command assured the public of its commitment to tackling crime and protecting the identity of informants.
