Keystone Bank Limited has reinforced its commitment to education in Nigeria through two impactful projects in Kaduna and Ekiti states.
The bank recently renovated and fully equipped a block of classrooms at Sarki Sambo L.G.E.A Primary School in Zaria, Kaduna State, under its Educational Support Initiative. The project aims to create a more conducive learning environment and drive sustainable development through education.
Speaking at the commissioning, Keystone Bank’s Managing Director & CEO, Hassan Imam, emphasized the bank’s dedication to national progress through education. “By investing in schools like Sarki Sambo, we are not just improving learning conditions but also contributing to the overall development of our nation,” he said.
The Emir of Zazzau, His Royal Highness Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, commended the bank’s efforts, describing them as crucial for shaping the future of young learners in the region. The event was attended by top dignitaries, including a representative of the Kaduna State Governor, Hadiza Usman Abdullahi.
In Ekiti State, Keystone Bank further demonstrated its commitment to digital learning by donating interactive boards and automated time attendance systems to four secondary schools. The initiative, part of the bank’s Educational CSR Program, spans 12 states and aims to enhance classroom engagement and administrative efficiency in government-owned schools.
Speaking on the impact of technology in education, Keystone Bank’s Directorate Head for Lagos Island and West, Helen Maiyegun, stated, “We aim to empower students and educators with the tools they need to thrive in a technology-driven world.”
Ekiti State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Olabimpe Aderiye, expressed gratitude, noting that the donation would help bridge the digital divide and improve learning experiences for students and teachers.
