Post Date : September 13, 2024

We are excited to announce the launch of The Archivi.ng Fellowship, a multidisciplinary six-month program designed to deepen the world’s understanding of Nigerian history through creative and meaningful approaches.

Despite Nigeria’s rich heritage, much of its history remains hidden, underutilized, and inaccessible for public engagement. Archivi.ng, are committed to preserving this history by digitizing archival materials—primarily newspapers and magazines—and making them widely accessible. We ask ourselves: What untold stories and perspectives are waiting to be uncovered in Nigeria’s archives?

Since launching our first set of digitized newspapers a year ago, our mission has expanded beyond discovery to helping people interpret and make sense of history. This led to the creation of The Archivist, and now, the Archivi.ng Fellowship, which takes this mission forward by collaborating with passionate, talented individuals.
