The Federal Government has unveiled the official digital portal for the upcoming National Youth Conference 2025, also known as Youth Confab 2025, aimed at empowering young Nigerians to actively shape the country’s future through inclusive policy dialogue.
Minister of Youth Development, Ayoade Olawande, made the announcement on Monday, describing the initiative as more than just a gathering. “This is a generational turning point, a national movement, and a call to action,” he said.
Originally announced by President Bola Tinubu during his 2024 Independence Day address, the confab is themed “Next Gen Nigeria: Crafting Solutions, Owning the Future” and promises to be youth-led, inclusive, and non-partisan. The planning committee, inaugurated in March 2025, includes 44 members drawn from diverse sectors.
Olawande noted that the digital portal will serve as a central hub for delegate registration, feedback, and real-time updates. “It’s a platform for listening, learning, and leading together,” he said.
The conference will unfold in stages: constituency-level engagements across all 360 federal constituencies, zonal consultations in six states, and a culminating national event in Abuja where recommendations will be harmonized.
Also speaking, Rinsola Abiola, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Citizenship and Leadership, said the conference would ensure gender balance and inclusion of persons with disabilities. She stressed that it offers a chance for young Nigerians to air their concerns and drive change.
The Youth Confab 2025 is designed to amplify youth voices in national development and transform frustrations into concrete, youth-driven policy solutions.
