Announced by ACCI President Chief Emeka Obegolu on Thursday, this landmark event aims to revolutionize agricultural innovation and strengthen international partnerships, particularly between Nigeria and China.
Scheduled to take place over three days in Abuja, the FARMFATECH Expo is expected to draw participants from 76 countries, featuring over 500 exhibitors and welcoming an anticipated 500,000 visitors. Obegolu stated, “This Expo is designed to foster international partnerships, facilitate knowledge exchange, and catalyze substantial business transactions that will drive growth within Nigeria’s agricultural sector.” With its emphasis on collaboration and innovation, the expo is poised to make a significant impact on the industry.
FARMFATECH promises to be an unparalleled platform for showcasing cutting-edge agro-mechanization and food processing technologies. Industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders will gather to explore transformative investment opportunities that can reshape the future of agriculture in Nigeria and beyond. Obegolu highlighted the importance of these discussions, noting, “We bring together the best minds to explore how we can enhance agricultural practices through innovative solutions.”
Recognizing the agricultural sector’s vital role in Nigeria’s economy, ACCI is committed to empowering agricultural stakeholders through policy advocacy, sustainability initiatives, and trade promotion. Obegolu emphasized that the Agriculture Trade Group’s efforts support research, education, and rural development, contributing to the sector’s overall growth. He stated, “Our goal is to spotlight investment opportunities in the agro-allied sector and promote initiatives that foster economic development.”
The FARMFATECH Expo represents a pivotal moment for Nigeria’s agricultural landscape, aiming to enhance the nation’s competitiveness in global markets. As Nigeria continues to focus on economic growth and individual prosperity, the expo serves as a vital opportunity to catalyze progress within the agricultural sector, ultimately contributing to the country’s GDP and creating a more sustainable future for all stakeholders involved.
